During the 2023 New York State Amateur Hockey Association's (NYSAHA) Annual Meeting held in Albany, NY, Malone Minor Hockey was honored to be presented with USA Hockey's Female Honors Award!!

This yearly award is designed to recognize hockey associations that are leaders in the growth, development, and promotion of ice hockey for females.

The award is given annually to one organization per district, chosen by the district under the guidelines established for recognition.

MMH is a non-profit, youth hockey association dedicated to providing a fun and impactful hockey experience to area youth. There are two team names under the MMH umbrella, the Adirondack 46ers Hockey Club and the Malone Jr. Huskies. MMH had around 300 hockey participants under the two team names in the 2022-2023 season, of which about 44% are female, and fielded teams at every level of youth hockey from Learn to Play through 19U for both boys and girls. With a strong focus on female players over the past 5 years, the Adirondack 46ers Hockey Club has been able to grow the number of female hockey players each year.

The Adirondack 46ers Hockey Club fields both female and male teams and also has options of full season, split season, and spring/summer teams at the 8U – 19U levels. The Malone Jr. Huskies field, coed, Tier III teams with levels ranging from Learn to Skate to 14U/Bantams. The season generally starts in the middle to end of October and runs through February.

Since 2018, the Adirondack 46ers Hockey Club has sent a female team to the NYSAHA State Tournament every year. For the past two seasons, 3 teams have represented Malone Minor Hockey and the 46ers Hockey Club at the NYSAHA State Tournament. During the 2021-2022 season, the first youth female team represented the 46ers Hockey Club at the USA Hockey National Tournament.
