Malone Minor Hockey Association (MMHA) is exploring the possibility of forming a competitive girls14U state tournament bound (TB) team.  The purpose of this announcement is to describe the proposed format, solicit interest, and to invite parents/players to ask questions.

Given that MMHA has already committed to teams at the House and 14U non-tournament bound levels, a 14U TB team would not utilize additional practice time and games and would only be scheduled to meet minimum NYSAHA requirements for participation.  Those requirements include a minimum of 16 games for the team and at least 10 games for any given player on the roster.   All players would be required to sign a team priority agreement indicating that, other than the weekend(s) of the state tournament and sectional tournament, their first priority would be with their other non-TB team.  Final costs would be determined after a roster is created.

The 14U TB team would be selected by guest staff (Chuck Dievendorf and Nancy Legacy) from the pool of interested players. Interested players/families should contact Craig St. Hilaire (the3saints@gmail.com) as soon as possible. Interested players not selected to the final roster will be granted an on-ice tryout, if requested. The team will be coached by Craig St. Hilaire, Bill DeCoteau, and Matt Jones.
